Course Objectives

This course has been designed for cardiology fellows, cardiologists and cardiology related practitioners (i. e. anaesthesiologists, sonographers) to provide a high-quality and authoritative “state of the art” review of the different topics of echocardiography, including: standard echocardiographic examination using different echo techniques, reading and reporting of echocardiographic data, myocardial function, valvular disease, cardiomyopathies, prosthetic valves, coronary artery disease, pericardial disease, diseases of great vessels.

These topics will be addressed by the lectures, case presentations, and live case demonstrations (with scanning of patients by members of the faculty).

Interactive discussion between faculty and course participants will be strongly encouraged.

The course might be valuable part of the preparation for the EAE transthoracic echo exam.

Registration

Registration fee is 100 Euros. Registration fee entitles participants to the following:

  • Entry to the lecture room
  • Entry to the exhibition hall
  • Entry to hands on sessions
