Topics of the Conference

Clinically oriented comprehensive scientific meeting covering state of the art research on both endocrinology and cardiology aspects of heart failure.

Targeted Audience

Endocrinologists, cardiologists, internists, residents, postgraduate students and general practitioners.

Presentations

The Conference will be based on Educational Seminars, Meet the Experts, From Bench to Bedside, State-of-the Art Lectures, "How-to" sessions, Case-based Presentation of Complex Clinical Scenarios, Interactive Debate, Video Seminars, consisting of four 20-minutes lectures delivered by distinguished experts. All sessions will be held in the conference hall of the Millennium Centre. There will be no parallel session except the young investigators award session which will be held in the Villa Breg Hotel. PC video projector will be available for all presentations. No double projection or slide projection will be possible. Presentation on a CD-ROM or USB stick should be delivered to the technician at least one hour before the session. Presentation from a personal notebook is possible but not recommended for the sake of time during the session.

Opening Ceremony

Opening ceremony will be held in the main hall of the Millennium centre. Gala dinner for all participants of the conference will continue in the same space.

Languague

All presentations will be in English, simultaneous translation will be provided for all lectures with wireless headphones available for all participants.

Young Investigators Award

Six best abstracts of authors less than 40 years of age will be selected for oral presentations in the YOUNG INVESTIGATORS AWARD SESSION. Presentations at this session should last 10 minutes + 5 minutes for discussion after each presentation. Two best contributions will be awarded by Hemofarm company with a diploma and completely covered travel and registration expenses at the next Congress of the Heart Failure Association of the ESC or Diabetes and Cardiovascular Disease Study Group of the EASD.

Registration

Registration is covered for all invited participants by the Hemofarm company. There will be no on-site registration.

CME Certificates

All participants will receive CME certificates at the Registration Desk on Saturday, March 14, 2009, upon presentation of their badge and the self-assessment form.

Social Program

Guided sighting tours through Vršac, gala dinner at the opening ceremony with live music, accompanying persons social program, spa centre at Villa Breg hotel.
